Account book of George W. Ziegler for building new gate house for Waynesburg, Greencastle and Mercersburg Turnpike Road Company, 1869- 1870.

Between 19 August 1869 and 11 May 1870, Ziegler records amounts paid to named workmen for various tasks in building the gate house for the Waynesburg, Greencastle and Mercersburg turnpike. In the back of the notebook, Ziegler has each workman sign that he has been paid for his specified labors. Also, includes twenty cancelled two-cent U.S. internal revenue stamps.
